Applying for an e-Visa is quick and easy
Applying for an e-Visa couldn't be easier. In 2017, the Egyptian government set up an official portal where you can download the visa application form. This form must be completed carefully, as the slightest error could lead to your application being rejected.
You will need to enter your personal details such as your surname, first names and profession, but you will also be asked to fill in all the information about your passport (a copy of the page containing this information is also required). Don't forget to include your travel details (flight, plane tickets, etc.) and details of your accommodation bookings (hotel, family visit, etc.). In your application, you will need to specify whether you have already made a trip to Egypt before and give all the necessary details of that trip.
You can call on a specialist agency to help you with the process. All you have to do is send the agency all the necessary information and documents. (copy of passport, dates of stay, etc.). The agency will then send you your e-Visa by e-mail. You must then print it out and present it on the day of your departure.
What about deadlines?
The e-Visa application process is particularly quick and efficient. Since you don't need to travel or send post, the situation can be cleared up in no time. If it only takes a few minutes to fill in the form correctly, you should then allow a few days for your application to be processed and your visa sent to your e-mail address. You can therefore manage your application up to ten days before your trip. This gives you time to organise your stay without having to worry about your e-Visa.
The e-Visa for Egypt is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. It allows a maximum stay of 30 days. You can apply for a single-entry or multiple-entry e-Visa.
